Help! I’m Addicted to Flickr and Can’t Stay Away

Memories, photo-sharing, and armchair travel can be addicting

For the uninitiated, Flickr is an international photo-sharing site. I first joined at some point before Yahoo acquired Flickr and insisted that members have Yahoo email addresses. I had an ATT email account. It ended in sbcglobal.net, rather than containing att.

Somehow Yahoo acquired all those ATT accounts, but their endings did not change. The result was that I didn’t have an acceptable yahoo email address attached to my account and I could not log in. I could not resolve it. So my account stayed dormant until now. You can see that account, which I just regained access to, here. It no longer belongs to Yahoo.

My return to Flickr

I can’t remember why, but I got a sudden desire at the beginning of November 2021 to get back to Flickr. It was probably after I joined Deep Dream Generator. It had a Flickr group with some helpful people. I also had photos on Flickr I wanted to access. I had no problem seeing my public account, but I couldn’t make any changes. So I opened a new account, the one I pictured in the lead photo above.
