I can relate all too well to this. As we collect things over the years they seem very important until we get old and tired and start drowning in the sea of things we don’t have the energy to clean up. I’m bailing out my “houseboat” to try to keep from drowning in the clutter. It takes time and energy to get rid of what we don’t need. We can’t just pile it up and burn it as used to be done. It’s more work to get rid of it than to keep it. You have to sort it, transport what you want to donate, and figure out what to do with what the thrift shops and recycling centers don’t want.
