I confess I don’t read every article someone I’m following writes. It’s impossible. I’d never have time to write if I did. I belong to three Medium Facebook groups and do my foraging in those. But I forage for good people to follow. If I like a post I read I check the profile to see how many other posts by that writer look interesting. I bookmark them to come back to when I have more time. I normally clap, comment, or highlight, if not all three. If a post is appropriate, I share it to one of my three Twitter accounts.
I tend to interact most with the writers from the pubs I post to most often. They tend to be the smaller pubs where I can get better acquainted with the other writers.
I landed on your profile because I was checking out your pub. I like it. It seems to fit the topics I write about or would like to write about. Most pubs don’t fit some of my favorite subjects. I submitted one such post to a pub I thought was a good fit almost a week ago and still haven’t heard back. I just get a canned message that the editors are considering it. It’s enough to make me want to start a pub of my own, except I really don’t want to if I can find one that is appropriate for my interests.
