I do have closets full of clothes I don’t wear, but I keep hoping they will fit again someday. Here in California the weather can change several times in a month, so there really is no time you can take all the warm season clothes from your closet, or the winter season clothes. I always have to be ready if the temperature climbs to shorts weather in the middle of winter, which it did last week.

I don’t actually try on things every morning. I have a uniform of my own choosing for the days I know I’m not going anywhere. I can mostly live in jeans and a t-shirt around town, but going to church, weddings, and funerals causes the most stress. Now I have a “uniform” for that, too.

About once a year I face a moment of truth and go through my closet to take out what no longer fits. If I really like it, it goes into storage until it does. If I don’t even like it, I give it away.
