I have always been almost too empathetic, to the point I used to faint when others were in pain. I am better at listening and being empathetic with people’s emotional pain. Sometimes just listening, asking questions, and letting them know I do understand seems to help them.

Most companies would not want people to do that on company time unless they are running some sort of counseling center or ministry that wants to help those who feel emotional pain. I can’t imagine a way to measure empathy.
