I have long expected Amazon to discontinue its affiliate program at some time in the future. As soon as Amazon is sure it no longer needs affiliates I am sure they will cut that program loose. Already most of the US population goes to Amazon directly when they can’t find something locally or don’t want to go to a nearby store.
