When it comes to disagreeing with people, I do so respectfully. There’s no need to put on gloves and jump into the boxing ring. It seems to me that if you understand common courtesy or good manners and a universal form of etiquette, i.e. how to be polite to others, you should be able to disagree without being disagreeable or worse, becoming angry and violent. It doesn’t matter if the discussion is via the Internet or a physical face-to-face conversation.
I so agree with this. People don’t seem to realize they will not bully people into agreeing with them. Even folk wisdom tells us we catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Insulting people won’t win them to your cause. The opposite is more likely to be true.
