I think the inventive human brain is a wonderful creation of God. I don’t always like the way people use it. I don’t object to people making new products in order to profit from them. I do object to people inventing or “improving” things people are then almost forced to accept. I’m thinking specifically of software and blogging platforms here.

Many products it took some effort to learn to use, such as WordPress, “improve” their products in ways that force a whole new learning curve on users that isn’t necessary — like WordPress 5.0 +. Yes, they gave us a workaround plug-in to go back to the classic editor. But they won’t support it after two years. Why not? Why not continue to let users choose what’s easiest for them to use if security isn’t affected? Why should we be forced into using a new editor we didn’t ask for or appreciate? This is just one example.
