I was once working for a mission organization that had a leader everyone exalted as though he were Christ himself. Once a week in the morning the organization had a prayer meeting for everyone on the staff. Although our leader was rarely in town sometimes he was in town on that day. On those occasions he would come in and speak to us for a few minutes and then disappear before we prayed. He was too busy with God’s work to stay and pray with his staff. That and a lot of other things made me question his leadership qualities and his walk with the Lord. In the beginning I had believed in the ministry and its mission, but the longer I was there the more inconsistencies I saw. I began to see that marketing and fundraising took presidence over truth. I left soon after my eyes were opened. I will be sharing this.
