I’m much older than you and I think an aversion to some of what passes for music today has helped preserve my hearing. I could have continued to live happily if amplifiers had never been invented. If they’d turn the music off, I might actually go back to the gym. I prefer to exercise by taking walks and listening to the birds and the wind.
If a type of music or any loud sound stresses you, that stress can actually make you less healthy. Why not avoid it, if possible? People under a lot of stress actually age faster than those who live under much less stress. Some stress is inescapable, but some we can choose to avoid. Avoiding today’s music may actually help you live longer. Why not listen to what you love instead?
