In another two months I will enter the fourth and probably last quarter of my life. Family history indicates I won’t quite make the century milestone. My life experience confirms your statements are right on. Perhaps one of the most important of your tips is “Shut up and listen.”
Fortunately reading and writing have always been among my favorite activities, and what I observe and photograph in nature helps keep me grounded in reality. These activities keep me from stagnating and keep me intellectually alive. I would hate being plopped in front of a TV for the rest of my days. Constantly learning and creating is what makes life stimulating. Spending time talking to people I love is what keeps me connected and content. And the older I get, the more I like simplicity.
