On one hand they tell us all politics is local. But most citizens are this ignorant about local offices. I didn’t start paying attention until I moved to the rural county where I live now. I now have met most of those who hold local and county offices and I try to meet those running for state offices and Congress. I observe how city council members perform because they often run next for county and state offices. We need to hold those local officials accountable while we still can, before they move to higher offices.
