Doing Taxes Becomes Hell for Stroke Victims With Aphasia

My brain became a whirlpool of words and numbers which I began to chase online

The past week has been a nightmare for one with aphasia. Tax season is upon us again! I must file sales tax again. Since my stroke nearly a year ago, I have forgotten how to count beyond three. I can read for leisure but not the tax form directions. I could not calculate. Add the state of California bureaucrats to the mix and you can see why I began to panic.

When I began to read the directions, they whirled around my head. My brain froze.

I don’t mind paying my fair share of taxes. Just don’t know why it's so difficult to fill the form out online. I know that it is. This is why its like hell for one with aphasia
