Thanks for writing this. I ran into this site when I googled myself. I was disturbed not only because of how much information they had about me, but also how much of it was wrong. As I recall they made me open an account and then wanted to charge me to be able to correct my information. It was a catch-22 situation. Correcting the information would give them more accurate information to sell and not correcting the information makes me look bad to anyone who searches for me there. Since I’m no longer in the workforce, I’m hoping the false information won’t do much damage. My suspicious mind believes they deliberately put false information in the profile so people will pay to correct it. I believe employers, banks, landlords, and others who have a legitimate reason to get personal information will use free reliable sources like credit bureaus and D&B.
