This is an article every mom should read. I’m trying to practice more gratitude throughout my day. Getting up is often hard for me and I have a tendency to want to grumble about it. But then I thank God I can get up and get myself into the bathroom, dress myself, and do the chores I’d rather not.

And as to the prospect of an empty house later? It sometimes happens before your children grow up. As I discovered, your children may leave one morning and never come home. (See Jason, I’ll Always Love You.) Cherish each child while you still can.

Today I’m grateful for all God has provided. I plan for the future as best I can, hoping he will keep me physically and mentally functional until I leave this earth. I know I’m in his hands, so after I do all I know how to do, I don’t worry about the future.
