All the photos above were created with the Deep Dream Generator. I’ve been playing with it for over a week and now have earned all the energy I need to play around there as much as I have time for. As soon as I reached “Dreamer” status, my addiction seemed to grow weaker. Here’s some of what you might expect if you join the site and start making your own “dreams.”

As a “Newbie” I was on the site as often as possible to create every time my energy recharged enough to generate a new “dream.” Newbies start with only 15 units of energy. It recharges at three units an hour. It takes six to create a “dream.” So I would create all I could, leave for a couple of hours to attend to other matters, and then return to create again. I wanted to experiment constantly to try to figure out what worked and what didn’t. I will share some of that with you here.

The nuts and bolts of creating Dreams

To create a deep style dream you need two images. The base photo can be either your original photo or artwork. The image that creates the style the artificial intelligence (AI) applies to your base image can also be your own or you can choose one from those available for free use from the site.
